It could be that you are searching for the best in residential care. Perhaps there is a need for more specialist dementia care, or you may simply need a short-term stay with our respite care. Whatever the care that you require, we have a team of caring, experienced professionals who are the best at what they do. At the Old Rectory Care Home, we are not about a one size fits all approach. Our team take the time to get to know our residents and tailor support to them as individuals. I have been the Registered Manager here at the Old Rectory since 2011 and have worked in the care sector for over 25 years. I have a degree in Psychology and a qualification in leadership and management. In 2004, I was given my first post as a Registered Manager and I’ve never looked back. I am dedicated, resilient and respectful. I get great satisfaction empowering those around me to get the best out of a situation, to build positive relationships and reach their optimum potential whilst feeling comfortable and safe. My favourite part of my role is sharing magic moments with the people that live and work in our home. I love working at the Old Rectory because of its family feel. My main focus is to ensure that outstanding care, compassion and support is given to residents and their family/friends each and every day. MICHELLE MILLARD, OLD RECTORY MANAGER At ACI, we understand that when it comes to finding the perfect care home, there is no one size fits all. As well as considering the location, the activities on offer, and any testimonials, a key factor is the type of care that is offered. Whether you need a little extra help getting dressed in the morning, assistance in managing your medication or perhaps companionship and a chat over an afternoon tea, our friendly team are here to welcome you with open arms. Whilst rewarding, looking after a loved one can also be incredibly difficult at times, and taking a break from care is essential for both your well-being and your relationship with your loved one. Our respite care provides a great opportunity for you to have a much-needed break with the knowledge that you’re loved one is in safe hands. Dementia is a condition that is highly emotive when it comes to any discussion. Of course, the changes for the person with the condition are difficult to deal with, but for family members, watching the changes occur can be heartbreaking. As well as providing the very best in care, we strive to keep our residents entertained and allow them to lead fulfilling lives. We offer a range of activities that sees residents picking up old hobbies or even discovering new ones, such as gardening or baking. At the Old Rectory Care Home, we are proud to say that we put the sparkle back into the eyes of our residents.
