Live Elvis tribute act delights residents at Mountside Care Home as they were treated to a special performance by an Elvis Presley tribute act, which brought together residents and staff for a spectacular showcase of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s greatest hits.

The artist, Andy King who is renowned for his uncanny resemblance to Elvis, dressed in a classic patterned shirt and rhinestone-studded belt opened the act with ‘Caught in a Trap’ and continued to sign classics such as; “Return to Sender” and the tender melody of “The Wonder of You,” Andy captivated his audience with an authentic re-creation of the ‘King’s’ music.

Activities Coordinator Kimberley said: “Seeing our residents light up as they sang along to their favourite Elvis songs was truly heart-warming, Music has a powerful way of bringing people together, and this performance did just that. It brought back many beautiful memories for our residents and gave them a new experience to cherish.”

During the performance, residents were transported back to a time to a specific time in their lives. Remembering where they were and what they were doing at the time Elvis was in the charts brought back so many good memories and had everyone talking about those very special times.

As the applause died down and Carter took his final bow, the smiles and cheerful chatter filling the room made it clear that the spirit of Elvis would linger long in the hearts of all who attended. As Elvis left the building everyone was left hoping to him again very soon.
