At Mountside Care Home, we believe in bringing the world to our residents — and this time, we took an unexpected trip to Australia!
We embraced the beauty of Australian culture with a creative twist, decorating traditional boomerangs with stunning Aboriginal dot art. The atmosphere was filled with the sounds of Aussie tunes, setting the perfect backdrop for our themed activities.
Our residents tested their knowledge with an Australia-themed quiz, where we learned fun facts about the Land Down Under, from its unique wildlife to its vibrant history. And speaking of wildlife, we had a very special treat — a cuddly Wallaby made an appearance, giving everyone a chance to connect with this adorable Aussie native!
This fun-filled day was a beautiful reminder of the importance of embracing different cultures and creating unforgettable memories. We can’t wait for our next adventure — who knows where we’ll go next?
