Celebrating Carers Week with colour, creativity and heartfelt thanks at Fairways Care Home.

At Fairways Care Home, Carers Week is always close to our hearts — and this year, we pulled out the coloured pens, the creativity, and a big helping of love to show just how much our care team means to us.

Our residents poured their appreciation into hand-coloured “Thank You” posters, creating vibrant, personal tributes for the dedicated team who support them every day. Each poster was more than just a splash of colour; it was a heartfelt message from those who see our carers’ compassion, patience, and kindness up close.

The home was filled with laughter, conversation, and reflection as residents shared stories of the many ways carers have made a difference in their lives. From quiet acts of kindness to going the extra mile.  These moments don’t go unnoticed, and this week gave us the perfect opportunity to celebrate them all.

Carers Week is a national opportunity to shine a light on the unsung heroes of our care community. At Fairways, we know that the warmth, reassurance, and dignity our care team brings to each day is what turns a house into a true home.
