Mountside Care Home enjoys a joyful picnic in the park with the Blacklands Fellowship for a community afternoon to remember.

At Mountside Care Home, we truly believe that care extends beyond our walls. That’s why we’re always looking for ways to connect with our wider community; and our recent afternoon with the Blacklands Fellowship was a beautiful reminder of just how meaningful those connections can be.

We joined forces with this wonderful local group for a relaxed picnic in the park, and the day was filled with good food, cheerful chatter, and a real sense of togetherness. Residents and fellowship members shared stories, enjoyed homemade treats, and soaked up the sunshine in a celebration of community spirit.

Moments like these highlight the immense value of being an active member of the local area. Not only do they nurture relationships and break down barriers, but they also bring fresh energy, fun, and friendship to everyone involved.

Socialising in the community offers vital wellbeing benefits, boosting mood, reducing feelings of isolation and sparking joyful interactions across generations. Here’s to continuing to build bridges, create memories, and enjoy all that community life has to offer.
