Mountside Care Home in Hastings turned National True Confession Day into an unforgettable afternoon of laughter, fun, and a little bit of friendly judgment!

Residents and staff came together to share their funniest, most mischievous confessions—some dating back decades! Each confession was written down and read aloud, and the group had the important task of deciding whether to forgive or not forgive the confessor. Using red and green cards, the room was filled with playful debate and lighthearted banter as we determined who truly deserved a pardon.

One confession had everyone in stitches—the tale of someone being made to finish a liver and bacon dinner, only to secretly wrap it in a handkerchief and stuff it into their jacket pocket. The twist? They forgot all about it, and days later, the smell stunk out the whole house! That one certainly had a few people reaching for their red cards!

Events like these bring joy and camaraderie to our home, sparking memories and plenty of giggles along the way. It was a brilliant afternoon of storytelling, shared experiences, and, most importantly, having a great time together.

We can’t wait for next year’s confessions—who knows what hilarious stories will be revealed next?
