Our caring staff pride themselves on how they get to know every resident as an individual. Many a time, we have seen residents join us who were seemingly unhappy and reserved.

food & drink

At Mountside Care Home, we provide a first-class dining experience. We ensure that our residents are not only eating healthy and nutritional meals: we make sure that they taste good too. We do this by treating our residents to home-cooked food that is freshly made each and every day.

Our residents enjoy three appetising main meals a day with various snacks and alternatives being offered in between. These are made from fresh seasonal produce and we can assure you that the quality is first-class. We don’t want our residents growing tired of the same meals day in day out. For that reason, our menu has a four-week rotation.

If you are looking for a care home where residents are left to amuse themselves, then Mountside may not be the care home for you. Of course, our residents have ample opportunity to rest and relax if that is what they wish to do. For those who are seeking a little more, we have plenty to offer…

Our residents are big fans of or games of bingo as well as film nights, dancing, singing, and quizzes. We plan plenty of trips out so that residents can explore local attractions, head to the shops and even appreciate the local pub. On top of all that we have visiting entertainers, ball games, and more. For the green-fingered, we also have a fantastic outdoor space where residents are encouraged to join in with some gardening.

What completes the experience at Mountside Care Home are the facilities themselves. Our care home consists of 27 bedrooms with en-suite WC, 19 bedrooms with wet rooms, and 6 rooms with hand-basin, making washing and personal care much easier for residents.

Away from the bedrooms, residents have use of a TV room, two general lounges, and two dining rooms. What really adds to our home is the picturesque garden with established plants and trees. This can be enjoyed from the outside decking area. We are also pleased to be able to offer a hairdressing salon to our residents.

Our residents and families often enjoy excursions to local attractions including Alexandra Park, Hastings Old Town, Hastings Pear and of course a regular trip down to Hastings Beach for an ice cream and some fresh sea breeze.
