The Old Rectory Care Home celebrated St George’s Day with an afternoon tea and an energetic line dancing session.

Adorned with red and white flags the Care Home embodied the spirit of England’s patron saint. Everyone gathered for a St George’s themed afternoon tea which saw everyone tuck into handmade sandwiches and a fluffy Victoria sponge.

More than just a celebration; the event was a way to bring the care community together, to share stories and laughter and have a good old dance in a unique line dancing session.

The residents, some of whom are seasoned dancers, along with others who were trying line dancing for the first time, found the experience exhilarating.

The celebration not only honoured St George’s Day but also highlighted the importance of community and activity in the lives of everyone who lives at the care home.

The Old Rectory Care Home continues to be a beacon of innovative care, emphasising physical activity and social interaction as pillars of wellbeing for its residents. The Old Rectory is already looking forward to its next event.
