A care leader whose work connects greener buildings, ethical recruitment and resident wellbeing has won national recognition for his approach to sustainable care.

Ravi Sodha, Director of ACI Care, has won the ESG Leader Award at the Leaders in Social Care Awards 2026, recognising his work across the company’s care homes in Kent and East Sussex.

ACI Care operates Fairways in New Romney, The Old Rectory in Dymchurch and Mountside

in Hastings. Across the three homes, Ravi has made environmental, social and governance commitments part of everyday care, involving residents and colleagues in initiatives that support people and the planet.

The judges praised both the breadth of his approach and his focus on practical results:

“The judges were particularly impressed by Ravi Sodha’s commitment to embedding sustainability, social responsibility and strong governance throughout ACI Care. His innovative approach to reducing environmental impact, supporting staff and enriching residents’ lives demonstrates exceptional leadership. Ravi’s dedication to meaningful, measurable change makes him a truly deserving ESG Leader Award winner.”

Ravi Sodha, CEO of ACI Care, said: “I’m delighted to receive this award, and proud of the colleagues and residents who help make our commitments a reality every day.

“For me, sustainable care means taking responsibility for the decisions we make; how we use resources, support our teams and improve life for residents. Working with older buildings and careful budgets, we’ve learned that progress comes from understanding where we can make a difference and taking consistent action.

“This recognition belongs to everyone across ACI Care who contributes their ideas, enthusiasm and care. It gives us even more encouragement to keep improving.”

Under Ravi’s leadership, ACI Care combines investment in energy efficiency with measurable progress towards Net Zero. Residents play their part through gardening, food growing and wildlife projects that encourage connection with nature and community life.

The same commitment to responsible care shapes how ACI Care supports its people. Its ethical overseas sponsorship programme reflects Ravi’s belief that colleagues should stay because they feel valued, rather than bound by minimum-service contracts. Community partnerships, staff recognition and resident-led activities strengthen this focus on wellbeing, belonging and inclusion.
