At Fairways Care Home, we believe in celebrating life’s most meaningful milestones — and few are as special as this one. We were overjoyed to mark a truly remarkable occasion with two of our much-loved residents, Joan and Alan, who recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Sixty years of love, laughter, and shared memories is no small achievement. Joan and Alan chose to honour their diamond anniversary with a cosy gathering right here at home, surrounded by their fellow residents, friends, and care team.

Their celebration was filled with everything they hold dear — warm company, joyful conversation, and a lovely dose of nostalgia.

To mark the occasion, we hosted a fun round of anniversary trivia, helping everyone relive some of the special moments from Joan and Alan’s journey together — from the year they met to their wedding day, and beyond. It sparked plenty of smiles and stories, reminding us all of the joy that comes with lasting love.

We feel incredibly privileged to have shared in this beautiful day. Joan and Alan’s enduring partnership is a testament to the power of love, patience, and friendship — and their story continues to inspire everyone at Fairways.
